the Moon

He calls to the sun across the night
Always asking why
They may never share their flight
Across the lonely sky.

One was made to rule the day,
The lesser to guide the night.
Together they may never stay
For each must give their light.

Yet he follows her constancy,
Content to mirror and mime.
She looks back with much regret and
Saying “I know he’ll never be mine.”

Hey nice post. I like the way the poem reads.
